Case Studies
The energy industry is becoming more innovative by the day — from how wells are drilled, to how those wells are produced, to how that product is refined and sent to market.
Our BLUESPARK® technology has far-reaching applications throughout the lifecycle of a well across the energy sector, including Hydrocarbon and Geothermal. Learn how Blue Spark Energy and our clients are part of the energy evolution.

APAC-IW-144 (Asia Pacific)
Improved connectivity to the reservoir. Injection zone takes water for the first time in years, a 350% increase in aquifer water production rate.
MENA-PW-138 (Middle East)
The aggregate oil production for the first 30-days averaged 324 BOPD, up 970% from the pre-BLUESPARK® aggregate of 30.3 BOPD, including one well (Well #4) that had zero production pre-treatment.
MENA-PW-137 (Middle East)
A 60% aggregate increase in oil production for two wells was completed in less than two days.
NAM-SR-136 (Canada West)
Well #4 (BLUESPARK® treated well) achieved a quicker and higher ramp up in production. After factoring in flush production and incremental fluid production due to reservoir pressure communication, the client calculated there was an additional 60 m3/d of sustained gross fluid production for Well #4 vs the other wells on the same pad.
NAM-PW-134 (USA California)
All wells saw an immediate increase in oil production. The total oil rate for all 4 wells increased 70% for the first 3 months, while the total water decreased by 25%.
NAM-IW-128 (Canada West)
The BLUESPARK® tool was deployed through tubing on third-party E-Line and completed in 8 hours.
NAM-PW-126 (USA Mid-Continent)
The well saw an immediate increase in gas production, which continually rose over the next 3 months. The average gas production increased from 17 MCF/d to 71 MCF/d in a 3-month comparison, an increase of over 300%.
NAM-IW-125 (Canada West)
The well saw an immediate increase in injection rates and a decrease in injection pressure. The average injection rate increased from a 3-month average of 97 b/d to 419 b/d for the first 3 months after BLUESPARK® + Acid.
NAM-SR-124 (USA Permian)
The well saw an immediate increase in oil production. The average oil production for the first 3 months was 6.4 b/d, an 1180% increase.
NAM-IW-122 (Canada West)
Client data from the BLUESPARK® treated well showed over 20x increase in injection rate and 45% reduction in injection pressure. 6 months later this well injects between 60 to 90 bbl/d and pressure is at 4200 kPa.
NAM-SR-121 (USA Permian)
BLUESPARK® treated well showed a 268% increase in oil production and a 714% increase in gas production 3 months post-treatment.
NAM-SR-119 (USA Permian)
The client ran back in the wellbore with tubing and discovered that the BLUESPARK® had created 11 feet of fill (in 7 inch casing). An analysis of the fill determined the presence of silica and clay, along with the BaSO4, confirming that the perf tunnels had been cleaned.
NAM-IW-118 (Canada West)
BLUESPARK® treated well showed a 52% injection increase 3 months post-stimulation, and 80% injection increase over the longterm.
NAM-SR-117 (Canada West)
Significant inflow of oil was produced after the remediation. Client data shows an average oil production of 36.7 b/d over a one-month period (716% increase).
NAM-SR-115 (USA Permian)
The post-BLUESPARK® multi-finger caliper confirmed that 100% of scale was removed at a pulsing rate of 60 pulses/ft. Oil production increased from 4.8 b/d to 8.5 b/d when comparing the 3-month pre-BLUESPARK® to 3-month post-BLUESPARK® rates.
NAM-PW-113 (USA Permian)
The December 2013 well showed an average increase of 100% (17 BOPD) in oil production and 127% (19 MCF/d) in gas production over 5 months since treatment.
NAM-PW-112 (USA Permian)
Client data from the BLUESPARK® treated well showed an aggregate production increase of 47% for the 4 wells over a 3 month period (from 76 b/d to 112 b/d).
NAM-IW-111 (Canada West)
The wellbore was reconnected to the reservoir, as pressures decreased and injection rates increased. Public data from the BLUESPARK® treated well showed an average injection increase from 83 b/d to 289 b/d for 3-months post stimulation.
NAM-PW-110 (USA California)
Perforations were cleared, allowing for increased fluid flow into the wellbore. Public data from the BLUEPSARK® treated well showed an average production increase from 0.8 bbl/day to 7.6 b/d (comparing 3 months pre-stimulation to 3 months post-stimulation), an 850% increase.
